The fast-acting chlorine granules increase the concentration of disinfectants in the water almost immediately. It’s important to first ensure the pH level is correct (ideally 7.2). Only then will the chlorine be properly absorbed into the water.

What is the difference between stabilized (organic) and unstabilized (inorganic) chlorine?
Stabilized chlorine contains cyanuric acid in addition to active chlorine. Inorganic chlorine contains no stabilizer.

What are the advantages of unstabilized chlorine?

Unstabilized/inorganic chlorine dissolves quickly in the water and works almost immediately. As a result, bacteria, algae, and other contaminants are quickly eliminated.
• Ideal for shock treatment
Unstabilized chlorine rapidly increases the chlorine level and helps quickly restore cloudy, green, or contaminated pool water to a clear and hygienic state.
• No stabilizer buildup
Because this type ofchlorine does not contain cyanuric acid, no stabilizer builds up in the pool water. As a result, the chlorine continues to work efficiently, and you don’t have to change the water as often.

The downside?
This type of chlorine breaks down somewhat faster when exposed to the sun’s UV rays.

Dosage
5–15 g/m³ (depending on the existing chlorine level and water quality). The ideal chlorine level is between 1 and 2 ppm.
