What do you use garden edging for?

With garden edging, you can easily divide your garden into different sections.
It offers countless possibilities for various applications:

• Lawn and border edging
• Edging of paths, terraces or ponds
• Flower beds, flowerbeds or kitchen gardens
• Creating vegetable garden containers

Tip from Marcel: Create a vegetable garden container from Corten steel!

Border borders are not only useful for dividing up your garden, but also for highlighting specific parts of your garden. Give your creativity free rein! Think, for example, of a circular border around a (multi-stemmed) tree with beautiful planting. Add mood lighting and you create a real eye-catcher in your garden.

Choose the right material

What types of garden edging are there?
• Corten steel

The most popular material at the moment is undoubtedly corten steel, and for good reason! Corten steel is very durable, has a long lifespan, requires no maintenance and comes into its own in both modern, sleek and rural gardens.

• Plastic
Plastic is light, flexible, maintenance-free and often cheaper. It is also highly resistant to moisture, which is essential in the garden. This type of edging is ideal for simple, low-maintenance gardens.

At Hermie, we also have quite a few recycled plastic demarcations in the range:

Ecolat
These flexible guardrails are made of 100% recycled plastic.

Ecorub
These border borders are made from recycled car tyres - how cool is that! As a result, the colour can vary slightly from grey to speckled grey. An eco-friendly and unique choice!

• Wood
Wood adds a warm and natural look to your garden, but it also requires maintenance. Over time, wood can rot due to humid weather
conditions.

• Concrete
Concrete is a robust material that gives your garden an industrial look. It is resistant to rain and other weather conditions, making it a very durable choice. This type of edging is not suitable for creating organic shapes, and preparation and installation is labour-intensive.

This is how to choose the material that best suits your garden and maintenance preferences!
