Is your lawn’s pH below 5.5? If so, your lawn is acidic. Our lime restores the soil’s pH level, making it harder for moss to grow. Moss thrives in acidic, shady soil. A healthy pH level is the best foundation for a moss-free lawn.

When should I fertilize?
Wait about four weeks after liming before fertilizing your lawn. Your lawn must first have a balanced pH level between 6.0 and 6.5 before you can start fertilizing. Only at this pH level can the soil optimally absorb the nutrients from the fertilizer.

Is your lawn acidic (pH lower than 5.5)? Then you’ll need to apply lime first. After that, wait about four weeks before you start fertilizing. If you fertilize right after liming, the nutrients won’t be absorbed properly by the grass—a waste of both your effort and your money!
