Barenbrug RPR Lawn is a self-repairing sports and playground grass designed for sowing a highly durable sports turf that repairs itself when damaged. 🌱 This is the successor to Barenbrug Bar Power RPR.
RPR Lawn is a unique, self-repairing perennial ryegrass that is highly resistant to heavy foot traffic and has proven itself time and again on sports fields and golf courses. Thanks to the success of this sports grass seed, RPR Lawn is also becoming increasingly popular for gardens and parks. Thanks to the stolons this grass forms, you’ll have a very dense turf that suppresses unwanted wild grasses and weeds. This grass seed also contains many grass varieties that are highly disease-resistant, drastically reducing the risk of fungi and diseases.
RPR Lawn establishes itself quickly, making this grass seed ideal for repairing bare spots in the lawn. Since you can use this mixture for both initial seeding and overseeding, you’ll save a significant amount of money that you would otherwise spend on other types of repair grass seed. In addition, RPR Lawn is suitable for all soil types. Barenbrug RPR Lawn is often used on sports fields and golf courses.
RPR Lawn forms what are known as “determinate stolons.” This creates a sort of mesh in the turf that connects the grass plants to one another. As a result, the grass isn’t easily kicked up, so there’s little damage. This makes your lawn virtually indestructible. Should it do get damaged, RPR’s self-repairing ability kicks in.
Thanks to its stolons, RPR® Lawn forms a very dense turf. Weeds and unwanted grasses are, as it were, pushed out. The combination of strength and growth speed ensures that RPR® Lawn effectively combats these weeds and unwanted grasses. Roadside grass can be disastrous for your lawn. Once it has taken root, it’s nearly impossible to remove. It may look nice and green, but it can completely ruin your lawn. RPR® Lawn, however, does effectively combat roadside grass.
Composition of Barenbrug RPR Lawn grass seed:
- 30% RPR
- 30% Fine-leaved perennial ryegrass
- 20% Common red fescue
- 10% Meadow grass
- 10% Tall red fescue
The composition of the grass seed may sometimes vary (slightly) from the description. This depends on the availability and harvest of the various types of grass contained in the seed. Since this is a natural product, it is not always possible to guarantee a 100% identical product, as is the case with synthetic products. Barenbrug carefully selects the best grass varieties for their seed mixtures, ensuring a high germination rate. If a particular type of grass does not meet standards, they will substitute it with another type of grass as a suitable replacement in their mixtures.
