The ideal automatic window opener. The ingenious easy-clip system allows you to detach the arm in just a few seconds.
Using automatic window openers allows you to ventilate your sunroom optimally, even when you’re away. An automatic window opener operates using a hydraulic system and requires NO electricity. A small oil-filled pump is highly sensitive to temperature fluctuations and expands and contracts depending on the weather. When it’s cold, the window closes; on warm days, it opens automatically.
Please note: In winter (during freezing temperatures), it’s best to remove the pump until spring so the cylinder doesn’t freeze and break. If this does happen, you can still reorder the cylinder.
The window opener cylinder operates entirely on oil and is of the highest quality. Occasionally, it may become stuck, especially after a period of inactivity. In that case, it’s best to perform the following test:
- Place the cylinder in cold water for about 10 minutes (e.g., a bucket)
- Push the pin of the cylinder in as far as it will go
- Then place the cylinder in warm water (NOT boiling—e.g., 30 to a maximum of 40 degrees), also for about ten minutes.
The pin should gradually come back out.
