Use the replacement cylinder in one of the automatic window openers if the cylinder in your window opener is worn out or frozen. The replacement cylinder has a load capacity of 7.5 kg. The cylinder is filled with natural oil that expands with heat causing the window to open. This ensures a constant temperature in your greenhouse so your plants can grow optimally. This way you do not need to use electricity. Attention: the natural oil can freeze so it is best to bring the cylinder inside in autumn.
The window opener cylinder works 100% on oil and of the best quality. Sometimes it may get stuck, especially after a period of inactivity. Then it is better to perform following test:
- Place the cylinder in cold water for about 10 minutes (e.g. bucket)
- Push in the pin of the cylinder as far as possible
- Then place cylinder in warm water (NOT boiling. E.g. 30 to max40degrees), this also for about ten minutes.
The pin should gradually come back out.
