About this granular lime
✅ Less moss formation
Is the pH value of your lawn below 5.5? Then your lawn is acidified. Our lime restores the pH value of the soil, reducing moss development. Moss prefers to settle in acidic and shady soil. Healthy acidity is the best basis for a moss-free lawn.
✅ Improves fertilizer action: better absorption of nutrients
By correcting acidity, the nutrients in fertilizers are better absorbed by the soil. This is how you get the most out of your fertilization! Always wait 4 weeks after liming before fertilizing. You can read more about it below.
✅ Strong lawn rooting
Grain lime encourages healthy root development, leading to a stronger, more resilient lawn.
✅ For healthy garden plants & borders
Not only your lawn benefits: ornamental plants, kitchen garden plants and border plants also grow better in well-balanced soil.
✅ Ideal for planting & caring for boxwood plants
Boxwood likes lime-rich soil. Our granular lime prevents yellowing and encourages full, healthy growth.
✅ Easy to spread
The even grain structure makes spreading easy, whether by hand or with a spreader.
So when should I fertilize?
After liming, wait about four weeks to fertilize your lawn. Your lawn must first have a balanced pH between 6.0 and 6.5 before you can start applying fertilizer. Only at this value can the soil optimally absorb the nutrients from the fertilizer.
Is your lawn acidified (pH lower than 5.5)? Then you need to spread lime first. Then wait about four weeks before you start fertilizing. Do you still fertilize immediately after liming? Then the nutrients will not be absorbed properly by the grass - a waste of effort and money!
