What is the difference between stabilized (organic) and unstabilized (inorganic) chlorine?
In addition to active chlorine, stabilized chlorine also contains cyanuric acid. Inorganic chlorine contains no stabilizer.

What are the advantages of unstabilized chlorine?
• Fast and powerful action
Unstabilized/inorganic chlorine dissolves quickly in water and takes effect almost immediately. This allows it to quickly tackle bacteria, algae, and other contaminants.
• Ideal for shock treatment
Unstabilized chlorine rapidly increases the chlorine level and helps quickly restore cloudy, green, or contaminated pool water to a clear and hygienic state.
• No stabilizer buildup
Because this type ofchlorine does not contain cyanuric acid, no stabilizer builds up in the pool water. As a result, the chlorine continues to work efficiently, and you don’t have to change the water as often.

The downside?
This type of chlorine breaks down somewhat faster when exposed to the sun’s UV rays.

Dosage
5–15 g/m³ (depending on the existing chlorine level and water quality). The ideal chlorine level is between 1 and 2 ppm.
