How does a salt water system work
Fill the pump with pool salt and run the system. The pool salt is then converted into natural chlorine thanks to electrolysis. It then releases powerful oxidants that kill the algae, fungi & bacteria in the water. You only need to fill the system with the pool salt once. The salt is reused every time. Attention: the pool salt must be purchased separately!

Which filter pump do I need?
For this system to work properly, you need a cartridge filter pump with a capacity of at least 2,650 L/h or up to 12,112 L/h. The filter pump controls the salt water system so the filter pump must also keep running during salt electrolysis. Preferably leave the filter pump on half an hour earlier & longer than the salt water system. Timers allow you to easily coordinate the units. A salt water system is certainly not an alternative to your filter pump, but an extra addition!

For which pool is this salt water system suitable?
The Krystal Clear can be used for pools up to 68,000 L (68 m³).

The hose connection has a diameter of 38 mm. Does this not fit your pool? Then purchase the Intex hose adapter B so you can connect this saltwater system without difficulty to your pool with a 32 mm connection.

How does the control panel work?
- Timer: you can set the timer between 1 and 12h. It automatically starts at the same time every day.
- Boost: when the boost is set, the system will run 8 times the currently set working time. Example: the set working time is 8h. Then the boost function will run 8 x 8 = 64h. During boost, the filter pump must run continuously.
- Self-cleaning: this can be set to 2,4,6 or 10h. You only need to set the self-cleaning once. It works in the background when the salt water system is on and produces chlorine.

How much pool salt do I need?
A guideline is to multiply the volume of your pool (the number of liters) by 0.003. Then you will know how many kg of salt you need for cleaning! So for a 25,000 L pool, this is 75 kg.
