Barenbrug Horse Master grass seed provides grass that is ideal for a healthy pasture for your horses. This grass seed is excellent for sprinting through the pasture and provides year-round beautiful green sod. It is also suitable for sheep, donkeys and alpacas. 🌱

Prevent laminitis and muscle paralysis

Lameness and muscle weakness are common and can be caused by eating grass with too high a fructan content. Since grass makes up the majority of horses' diets, its composition has a major impact on their health. Horse Master is specially formulated to create a pasture with lower energy and fructan content, which significantly reduces the risk of hoof and muscle disorders.

Prevent sand colic

Sand colic, along with hoof and muscle disease, can result from eating the wrong grass. Horses often graze the sod too short, leading to bald patches and ingesting sand. Horse Master contains varieties with a very low growing point, which does not interfere with regrowth after grazing and maintains a nice green sod, which helps prevent sand colic.

Structure in your horse grass

For proper functioning of your horse's intestines and stomach, it is important that grass and forage have adequate structure. Horse Master contains varieties that produce forage with sufficient structure, which contributes to your horse's health. Even as hay, these unique characteristics are retained, making a quality difference between hay from a Horse Master pasture and hay from another pasture.

Maintain beautiful horse pasture

A dense, firm sod is essential to maintaining a beautiful pasture. Horse Master is composed of varieties that tolerate treading well, giving the pasture dense sod and keeping it nice and green. These varieties recover quickly after heavy loading, giving weeds little chance.

Suitable for an area of up to 1800m²
About 80kg is needed for an area of 10,000m². For overseeding 10,000m², approximately 40kg is required.

Composition Barenbrug Horse Master grass seed:

• 30% ryegrass (low fructan forage type)
• 20% ryegrass (sport type with RPR)
• 20% field meadowgrass
• 15% red fescue
• 15% Timothy

The composition of the grass seed may sometimes differ (slightly) from the description. This depends on the availability and harvest of the various types of grass the grass seed contains. Since it is a natural product, it is not always possible to guarantee a 100% identical product as with artificial products. Barenbrug carefully selects the best grasses for their seed mixtures, with a high germination percentage. Should a particular type of grass fail, they switch to another type of grass as a worthy substitute in their mixtures.
