This mixture is composed of a mix of 3 Barenbrug grass seed mixtures: Bar Power RPR, Water Saver & Shadow grass seed. This composition consists of reed fescue, field beangrass and English ryegrass types. In addition, these seeds also contain a transparent enhanced seed coating that, after watering your newly sown lawn, flows out into the soil and creates ideal germination conditions. Result: faster emergence and less failure after stress such as a drought. Oh yes, and the birds will fly less with the grass seeds ;-)

Please note: this grass mixture previously had a green coating, but this has been changed to a colorless coating since January 2025. The quality and performance remain unchanged - the product still performs as you have come to expect.

What soil is this grass seed suitable for?

This grass seed is suitable for all soil types, including drought-prone sandy soils. The sophisticated mix of grass species provides a fast-recovering lawn with a deep root system and guarantees a turf that is extremely tolerant to extreme heat and drought. Thanks to the combination of reed fescue, field beangrass and special English ryegrass types, your lawn obtains a restorative ability to quickly return to a dense and green carpet of grass after a dry period. This grass seed mix is also ideal for establishing a lawn in shady areas. The seeds were carefully checked for germination and purity and meet EU standards.

Dose: one 1kg box is good for sowing up to 40m² of grass:

• New planting: 250 to 300 grams per 10m²
• Overseeding (recovery): 125 to 150 grams per 10m²

When to sow?

Typically, seeding can be done from April to May and from early September to late October. But everything depends on weather conditions. For example, you need a minimum soil temperature of 10°C for your grass seeds to germinate properly (with the exception of SOS grass seed, which germinates as early as 4°C). We also recommend not sowing during dry periods or at temperatures higher than 25°C.
