Barenbrug Grass Seed, 1 kg, for up to 50 m² - Shadow-coated - for use in both shade and sun

Barenbrug Shadow grass seed is the perfect choice for sowing a beautiful, lush lawn in the shade. 🌿

What are the strengths of this grass seed?
✅ Suitable for shaded lawns
✅ High tolerance to foot traffic: ideal for children playing
✅ Creates a dense turf (less moss & weeds)
✅ Fine-leaved grass

This grass seed mix grows well in both sun and shade. Shadow also ensures a dense lawn, making it harder for moss and weeds to take hold. Thanks to its high tolerance to foot traffic, this grass seed is ideal for gardens where children or pets play. This grass seed is also suitable for sowing an ornamental lawn because the grass has fine blades and high ornamental value. The varieties used in Shadow grass seed ensure a dense turf. This prevents bare spots, making it a highly suitable blend for both ornamental and play lawns. Moss often grows in the shade, but thanks to the density of this grass, you’ll have a beautiful lawn even in the shade!

Innovation Award Winner: Shadow uses the Barcampsia variety. Following its introduction, this variety was awarded the Innovation Award for its combination of high shade tolerance, early spring growth, rapid germination, and excellent resistance to harsh winters.

Composition of Barenbrug Shadow grass seed:

• 20% perennial ryegrass
• 20% Red fescue—common
• 20% Meadow fescue
• 20% Red fescue—fine
• 20% Tall fescue

The composition of the grass seed may sometimes vary (slightly) from the description. This depends on the availability and harvest of the various types of grass contained in the seed. Since this is a natural product, it is not always possible to guarantee a 100% identical product, as is the case with synthetic products. Barenbrug carefully selects the best grass varieties for their seed mixtures, ensuring a high germination rate. If a particular type of grass does not meet standards, they switch to another type of grass as a suitable substitute in their mixtures.
