Cartridge filter pumps

Cartridge filter pumps

Thanks to our filter pumps, your pool stays wonderfully clean. So you can enjoy a fresh & clear dip every time! 🤿💦 Besides clean & clear water, the filter pump also circulates the pool water so the added maintenance products (chlorine, pH...) do their job better. As a result, your maintenance products last longer!

Each cartridge filter pump needs a specific type of cartridge. To make it easy for you, we have placed the appropriate cartridge with each filter pump!
🙋‍♂️Tip from poolboy Marcel: replace the cartridge every 2 weeks for optimal results!

A clean and clear pool starts with a good filtration system. A cartridge filter pump is the ideal solution for smaller pools and above-ground pools. They are user-friendly, compact and efficient in removing dirt and impurities from your pool water

What is a cartridge filter pump?

A cartridge filter pump draws in pool water, passes it through a filter cartridge, and then pumps it back into the pool. The filter cartridge traps dirt particles such as sand, dust, insects and algae

The pump ensures constant circulation, preventing stagnant water - and thus algae growth - from occurring.

When to choose a cartridge filter pump?

✅ Ideal for set-up pools up to ±20,000 litres

✅ Compact & easy to install

Budget-friendly choice for seasonal use

Maintenance of your cartridge filter

For optimum performance, it is important to clean the filter cartridge regularly (about twice a week with intensive use). After 2 to 4 weeks, it is best to replace the cartridge for continued good filtration results. 👉 Tip: Combine your pump with a pre-filter or skimmer to catch coarse dirt particles in advance. This will make your cartridge filter last longer!

Tip from Marcel:

Does the cartridge filter pump not fit your pool right away because the connection is different (38mm to 32mm)? This is quickly solved with a hose adapter.

Frequently asked questions about cartridge filter pumps for pool

How do I know the minimum capacity of my cartridge filter pump?

Divide the total volume of your pool by 4. The capacity of the filter pump in litres per hour should be equal to this number or higher. Ideally, every 4 hours the entire content should be filtered. Is the pump further than 3 metres away from your pool, or does it otherwise suffer from a lot of resistance? Then always take a pump with excess capacity. Divide the litre volume of your pool by 3, or even by 2, for the right pump capacity.

What should you pay attention to when connecting the filter pump?

A cartridge filter pump should always be placed next to the pool on the ground to ensure proper flow. If you want to connect accessories such as a pool robot or a solar mat to the pump, the cartridge filter pump must have enough capacity. If the pump is not powerful enough, the flow of water will be slowed down.

How long should the pool pump run?

The entire contents of your pool must be fully filtered at least 4 times a day. So how long the cartridge filter pump should run depends on the number of litres in your pool and the capacity of your pool (how many litres the pool can filter per hour). The general rule is often 8 hours, but can therefore vary. You certainly don't need to keep the pump running day & night, as this wastes energy and money unnecessarily! The optimum filter time is during the warmest hours of the day (when the sun is on the water) because that's when algae development is at its highest.
