Pole beans Westland is a very rich double pole bean. The strong plants form substantial clusters of beans whose flavor is excellent. Westland grows quite fast. The beans are not only good for fresh processing, but are also extremely suitable for storage in the freezer
Sow: Pole beans are grown against climbing poles that are usually placed crosswise in rows, preferably in a north-south direction. Place the canes in rows 120 cm apart, keeping 40 cm between the canes in the row. Place 4 beans around each stick, about 3 cm deep. Do this in the open ground between mid-May and mid-July. Beans need plenty of heat and moderately moist soil. In wet and cold weather the beans germinate poorly. Therefore you should not sow earlier than indicated here. Above all do not use fresh farmyard manure
Harvest: depending on sowing time, you can harvest from July to September. Suitable for freezing.
