The Oregon Sugar produces an abundance of deliciously sweet tasting, tender pods that can be eaten whole. The Oregon Sugar pod or slumber pea is an early variety. Sow from early April to mid-May in the garden in rows, 2-3 cm deep. This variety is rather rangy and is best grown in gauze: the height will be approx. 90 cm. 100 gram seed is sufficient for a row of approx. 10-15 meters.
