How to set it up?

1. Place the Christmas tree stand on a flat surface and unlock the clamping mechanism by pushing the brake pedal up with the top of your foot (red button up). Caution: Keep your hands away from the spring-loaded claws of the clamping mechanism.   
2. Place the Christmas tree nice and straight, with the trunk centered, in the Christmas tree stand.   
3. Lock the clamping mechanism by pressing down on the pedal with your foot until the spring clamps are securely fastened around the tree trunk.   
4. Lock the Christmas tree stand by setting the brake to the lowest position (red button down).   
5. Fill the water reservoir until the red level indicator is visible. Check the water level in the reservoir regularly.
