Orchids are breathtakingly beautiful, but they can be pretty picky when it comes to wet feet! With COMPO Bio Granuplant Orchids you can create the perfect, airy environment for all your tropical showpieces, such as the Phalaenopsis, Cattleya or Cymbidium, in no time. This sustainable plant granulate consists of 100% natural pumice enriched with lava, which gives the roots a big oxygen boost and significantly increases the flowering power of your plant. 🌸🌋
- Excellent drainage ensures that excess water drains away effortlessly, safely and effectively preventing root rot and fungal growth.
- Due to its unique, airy structure, the granulate naturally repels pests, such as those pesky mourning flies (potting soil flies).
- Tip: Give your orchid some water and nutrition 1 to 2 days before repotting. This will keep the roots slightly moist and supple, making transplanting a breeze!
We recommend pampering your orchid every two years with a slightly larger pot and a fresh base. Remove the old potting soil, carefully remove any dead or rotten roots, and with a light twist, place the plant in a clean, transparent nursery pot. Top off with the granules until the new shoots just touch the substrate. You can use this Granuplant pure or mix it with classic orchid potting soil for customized results.
