Spaas Novena Candle Set: 20 Saints - 9-Day Burner

Novena candles burn for nine days and nights, which is why they’re also called “9-day candles.” These candles are often lit to seek comfort or strength and to express special wishes during difficult times (e.g., illness, a death, exams...). You can also light a novena candle for a family member, friend, or acquaintance… and make a wish for them. The novena candle is associated with the novena. This is a series of nine days during which one prays to God, often in preparation for a feast day (e.g., the Pentecost Novena). The candle reinforces the prayer.

This package contains 20 different 9-day candles dedicated to 20 saints.

Features of our novena candles:

Our high-quality novena candles are unscented and are from the Spaas brand.

So you won’t won’t have to deal with black smoke! The candles produce a magical little flame. Thanks to their protective casing, novena candles are also relatively safe to place indoors.

These prayer candles come in various colors (with the red and white versions being the most popular), as well as with images of various saints (e.g., Saint Rita, Padre Pio...). This allows you to pray to different saints for a specific purpose or wish associated with that saint. 9-day candles are also often used during times of mourning and remembrance (e.g., All Saints’ Day). They bring light in times of darkness.

These religious candles can be used indoors in a church, chapel, or in your own home. Always place the 9-day candle holder in a safe spot out of reach of children and pets. If you’d like to use the 9-day candle holder outdoors (e.g., on a gravestone), we recommend placing a candle cover over the candle to protect it from rain and wind.

Our novena candles are designed to burn for approximately 9 days and nights, but the exact burn time may vary depending on factors such as temperature, drafts, humidity, and the candle’s location. Place the candle in a draft-free, stable spot for best results.
