Measuring soil acidity should not be forgotten. Fortunately, it has never been so simple with the pH Soil Test. You accurately measure the acidity of the soil in your garden. The test is easy and quick to perform. The acidity can be tested eight times and gives the results within minutes.

How does it work?
By mixing soil with the tablet and distilled water you will get a color within minutes. You compare this with the table on the packaging. So you know exactly how acidic your soil is. Is your soil too acidic? Then you can read in the package insert how much lime you need per square meter to reach the right pH level.

Instructions for use:

For reliable results, take several soil samples from the garden. For this, use the top 5 to 15 centimeters of the soil. For the vegetable garden, take samples from the top 15 to 25 centimeters of the soil. It is recommended to test soil samples from lawn and border separately.

Here's how to proceed:

• Fill the test tube with one centimeter of soil. For a good picture, take several samples from your garden. Then mix this soil well and put it in the tube.
• Add two milliliters of distilled water to this.
• Add the tablet provided to the test tube. Seal with the stopper and shake until the test tablet is dissolved.
• Set the test tube aside for several minutes until the soil has sunk and the liquid turns a clear color.
• Compare the resulting color with the colors shown on the front of the container. In this way, determine the pH value of the soil.

What are the perfect pH values?
- Lawn - slightly acidic to calcareous. pH value: 5.5 - 6.5.
- Kitchen garden - slightly acidic to calcareous. pH value: 5.5 - 7.0.
- Ornamental garden - acidic to calcareous, need varies by plant.
- Acidic: rhododendrons, azaleas and heather. pH value: 4.0 - 5.5.
- Slightly acidic: hydrangeas and skimmias. pH value: 5.0 - 6.0.
- Calcareous: boxwood, roses and grapes. pH value: 6.0 - 7.0.
