How does a salt water system work?
Fill the pump with pool salt and run the system. The pool salt is then converted into natural chlorine. It then releases powerful oxidants that kill the algae, fungi & bacteria in the water. You only need to fill the system with the pool salt once. The salt is reused every time. Attention: the pool salt must be purchased separately!

What filter pump do I need?
For this system to work properly, you need a cartridge filter pump with a capacity of at least 1,249 L/h. The filter pump controls the salt water system so the filter pump must also keep running during salt electrolysis. Preferably leave the filter pump on half an hour earlier & longer than the salt water system. Timers allow you to easily coordinate the units. A saltwater system is certainly not an alternative to your filter pump, but an extra addition!

The Flowclear Hydrogenic can be used for pools up to 8,327 L (8 m³).

How much pool salt do I need?
A guideline is to multiply the volume of your pool (the number of liters) by 0.003. Then you will know how many kg of salt you need for cleaning! So for an 8,327 L pool, this is 25 kg.
