This Alouette seed potato is the successor & improved version of the Raja seed potatoes. These potatoes grow into coarse, red potatoes with yellow flesh color.
It provides a high yield of flavorful & fairly firm-boiling potatoes that are suitable for almost everything (boiling, mashing and baking). The Alouette has good resistance to potato blight. You can store them quite well at an optimal temperature of 4.5°C.
Alouette is a mid-late variety from which you can harvest in August .
Our tip:
- Have Alouette potatoes pre-sprouted so they don't go into the ground cold for the best yield!
- Choose a planting distance of 20-25 cm.c
- Wait 3 weeks before digging up after haulm kill to avoid damaging the potatoes.
- Fertilize the potato plant with potash or garden potash. Potassium is an important component of potato fertilizer that ensures a sturdy plant with high resistance to disease, pests and drought.
