Product information "Rootsum Orius - 100 predatory bugs to control thrips"
Thrips are elongated insects that are black, orange, or beige in color and suck the sap from plant cells, causing brown discoloration of the leaves and fruits of houseplants, fruits, and vegetables. Orius laevigatus, also known as the flower bug, is a useful predatory bug that eats both young and adult thrips—but not their eggs! Orius is a voracious feeder that requires plenty of food and can be used both indoors and outdoors, but it’s important to ensure there is sufficient pollen for the predatory bugs. Release Orius by placing the bugs in small groups on leaves or distributing them across 5 points on large leaves. Orius should be released in the evening. Orius is effective against severe infestations of adult thrips and larvae and can be used on houseplants, fruits, and vegetables.
