Have you ever had problems with thrips on your plants? Prevention is better than cure! You can use these grow bags as a preventive measure. These thrips bags contain Neoseiulus cucumeris predatory mites. The bags also contain mealybugs and bran, which serve as a carrier medium. The predatory mites feed on the eggs and young larvae of thrips. Adult thrips are not eaten. After 5 to 6 weeks, new predatory mites will hatch, immediately combating the first thrips infestation.
You can use the breeding bags on houseplants to prevent damage to the leaves. Monstera species, Tradescantia species, Calatheas, Anthuriums, Ficus plants, roses, and gerberas are particularly susceptible to thrips. When you buy new houseplants, isolate them and treat them with breeding bags to prevent thrips.
The grow bags can also be used preventatively on vegetables such as cucumbers, bell peppers, melons, or eggplants, as well as grapes and strawberries. They work best at temperatures above 20°C during the day and at least 6°C at night.
The grow bags are quick and easy to hang using the included hook and provide protection for 5 weeks. They are also inexpensive to purchase. Hang at least 1 grow bag on each plant, and 2 to 3 grow bags for large houseplants. If the plants are growing close together, use 1 grow bag per square meter.
