Crosne du Japon - Japanese Andhorn tubers (also: Chinese Artichoke or Knotroot) are planted March-April and harvested October-November. The recommended planting distance is 30 cm in the rows and 40 cm between rows in clusters of 3-4 tubers. The yield of the 5 cm tubers is good in relation to their size. Given their winter hardiness, the smaller tubers provide next year's harvest. These tubers with nutty flavor are a delicacy and ideal for light baking, cooking or pickling for salads. These tubers come in a 50 g bag. Tip: These tubers grow excellently in places where some other plants do not thrive.
