Pennisetum alopecuroides ''little bunny'' is called lampshade grass in Dutch. This is a small, deciduous grass with a compact and rounded shape. The leaves are narrow, arching and arching. They have a medium green color, which turns golden brown in autumn

This pennisetum is fairly hardy. It is drought tolerant, tolerant of sea breezes and air pollution. It is a beautiful ornamental grass for the mixed border, the gravel garden, prairie garden or also useful as a tub plant and suitable as a cut flower. Cut back to 10-12 cm from the ground in spring before new growth takes off.
