Heavy metal may sound rugged but this ornamental grass is anything but. It has narrow leaves with a blue-gray color. It blooms in late summer with fine purple-brown flower spikes that turn yellow fairly quickly. The leaves also take on a yellow sheen in the fall. At the beginning of spring you can prunethis ornamental grass back to 15cm from the ground.
