Festuca glauca ''elijah blue'' is commonly called blue fescue or blue sheep grass in Dutch. It is a small evergreen grass. It has a particularly compact and almost dome-shaped form.
The leaves are very fine and deep blue-green in color. They remain green throughout the winter.
HEIGHT:
0.15 to 0.3m. Can also be used as a ground cover.
FLOWER:
Festuca glauca ''elijah bleu'' blooms from June to July with inconspicuous creamy to silvery-white flower spikes.
LOCATION AND MAINTENANCE:
This plant likes a spot in full sun. It is best placed in a well-drained and not too fertile soil. Fescue is well drought tolerant, and tolerates sea breezes and air pollution.
