These insect parasitizing nematodes are tiny worms that can be used to control grubs in lawn. The nematodes actively search for their prey and enter their host through natural openings.
How to use
A) Use a dispensing sprayer for nematodes (e.g., AquaNemix): see dispensing sprayer instructions.
B) Use a back sprayer:
- Mix the entire contents with 10 liters of water in a bucket and stir thoroughly.
- Remove all strainers and filters, including those in the nozzle (min. opening: 0.5 mm).
- Using a measuring cup, take 2 L (for 500 m2) or 1 L (for 1000 m2) of the concentrate from step 1, put it into the sprayer and dilute with water to a ready-to-use 10L solution.
- Treat 100 m2 with this. Repeat steps 3 to 4 until the entire area is treated. Stir regularly in the bucket and spray tank to prevent the nematodes from sinking to the bottom.
- Water immediately after, or even better during, the application at min. 1 liter of water per m² to allow the nematodes to penetrate into the soil.
The nematodes are not homogeneously distributed in the package: therefore always use the entire contents.
In case of heavy infestations, double the dose from 0.5 to 1 million nematodes per m² or repeat the treatment if necessary.
Avoid direct sunlight! Apply the nematodes in cloudy weather or at the end of the day.
Moisten the soil thoroughly before application and keep moist for at least 4 weeks after application.
