Red beet Bullet 2 Bolivar. This seed is grown, cleaned and controlled by Nunhems Zaden, Bolivar is an exclusive Nunhems quality product. Bolivar is an excellent round beet for the summer crop. If sown too early, there is a risk of bolting (forming flower stems). Red beet grows on all types of soil, but on dry soils the tubers can develop wart-like spots (scab). Sow: From mid April to late July, directly in the garden. Sow in rows or rows with 20 cm. space between the rows. The seeds germinate after approx. 2 weeks. When the plants are approx. 5 cm high, you must thin out: remove as many plants as possible until the remaining plants are 7 cm apart. They can then grow well. The removed plants can be replanted elsewhere (also at 7 cm intervals). Harvest: from August until October.
