larissa' is an exclusive breeding product of Nunza BV in Haelen and
is widely used by professional growers in Europe on the
market and brought to auction; a guarantee of extra quality!
'Larissa' is suitable only for cultivation in heated and cold
greenhouses and under foil. This head lettuce grows quickly and produces heavy,
well closed heads and hardly suffers from 'edge'.
Sow: for early cultivation: from late November to early February.
Autumn cultivation: from mid-August to mid-September. Sow in the greenhouse or
under foil on rows (or rows) with a mutual distance of 30
cm. Sow shallowly, the seed should only just be covered. After emergence
thin out (remove the excess of plantlets) at 30 cm in
the rule. Do this when the plantlets are 2-4 cm tall. Head lettuce germinates
very well at rather low temperatures (up to approx. 18°C).
Harvest: as soon as the heads are large and thick enough.
