The Ultra XTR Metal Frame pools are the real powerhouses in the range of Intex. These pools come in a set with all kinds of accessories (sand filter pump, ladder, groundsheet & tarpaulin) so everything is present to take a refreshing dip within hours!
The Ultra XTR Metal Frame pool is not only the strongest & most luxurious in the row, but also excels with its impressive construction. The galvanized steel tubes have an oval shape & provide extra stability. This makes it faster and easier to set up the pool.
Moreover, the tubes of the XTR Metal Frame have a powder-coated interior, unlike many other above-ground pools where only the outside of the tubes are powder-coated. This also protects the inside of the tubes from rust. This pool has a thicker liner so it can take a beating.
The strengths of our Ultra XTR Metal Frame swimming pools at a glance:
- Powerful sand filter pump for clear & hygienic water
- Oval galvanized steel tubes for extra stability
- Made of 3 layers of durable PVC with gridded intermediate layer
Supplied accessories
Powerful sand filter pump 7.9 m³
Of course, this luxurious pool also needs a powerful filter. This will keep your pool wonderfully clean. The Ultra XTR Metal Frame pool comes with a sand filter pump. This pump uses filter sand or glass beads (not included) to filter the water. The big advantage of a sand filter pump is that it filters the water much more accurately than a cartridge filter pump. Moreover, you don't have to replace the sand every two weeks, which is the case with cartridges. That way you save a lot of effort & money in the long run! Order your filter sand or glass beads here.
This set includes a pre-filter that first filters the coarse dirt. The dirt is collected in the basket of the pre-filter for easy emptying. In addition, the sand filter pump also filters fine dirt. The sand filter pump has a capacity of 7.9 m³. This means that it filters 7,900 L of water per hour.
The filter pump can run up to 8 hours per day. For best cleaning, we recommend running the pump 4 hours in the morning and 4 hours in the evening. This is also the ideal time to measure the pool values (pH, chlorine & alkaline) and add the necessary products. This way the pool is wonderfully clean before diving & is cleaned again after all the splashing fun. With the built-in timer, you can easily set when the pump should get going. So you can enjoy delicious & fresh water every day.
Tip from poolboy Marcel:
A pool not only provides cooling & fun but also requires maintenance. So keep a close eye on the pool values (pH, chlorine & alkaline values) in order to enjoy your pool safely and as long as possible. Check out our wide range of maintenance products here. Not sure how to summer-proof your pool? Then be sure to read this blog article to get your pool ready for swimming in 5 steps.
Safety ladder
Swimming & splashing in the water is great fun of course, but at Hermie we opt for safety first! A slip happens faster than you think. The sturdy supplied ladder makes it easy and safe to get in and out of the pool. Moreover, the front part of the ladder can be folded upwards to prevent small daredevils from climbing into the pool. The ladder is very easy to assemble and the plastic steps will last for years.
Luxury cover
Finished splashing? Then close the outdoor pool with the supplied cover so it stays nice and clean for your next dip. A cover keeps falling leaves, twigs or other debris out of your clear water. Moreover, the water will also cool down less quickly with this cover. The tarp is perforated in the middle so the water does not stay on the tarp. With the nylon drawstring, you can easily attach the cover to the edge of the pool.
Our tip: prevent the cover from sinking into the water & place an inflatable tire under the cover on the water.
Want a pool that's always nice and warm? Then opt for pool heating. With a heat pump or mat, you can easily heat the water a few degrees. Put a solar cover on the pool to keep the water warm longer as well & let the pool be naturally warmed by the sun. This cover has an insulating function and partially protects your pool from dirt. Because the solar cover floats on the pool (and is not fastened over the edges of the pool), dirt can still get into your pool along the sides of the cover. So this is not an alternative to a cover.
Ground sheet
The ground cover keeps the bottom of the pool clean. This saves you a lot of cleaning work when storing your pool in the fall!
Want extra protection for the underside of the pool? Then choose floor tiles - suitable for both garden and terrace.
Repair kit
Due to the enthusiastic splashing & the many water games, an accident can always happen. This set therefore includes a handy repair kit.
Setting up the Ultra XTR Metal Frame
This pool may be a real powerhouse, but it is also very easy to set up.
The packaging includes a detailed manual that tells you step-by-step how to assemble the pool (without additional tools). We like to list it for you:
Step 1: Pick a spot with a flat and level surface. Allow at least 1m extra space around the pool for accessories, such as the filter pump.
Step 2: Remove any stones, twigs or other sharp objects that could damage the pool.
Step 3: Provide a solid surface and lay down pool tiles if necessary. Are you using these tiles? If so, dig them in at ground level. If the ground is soft or sandy, the legs may sink, and the frame will not be as stable. Lay down the groundsheet.
Step 4: Spread the liner in the middle of the groundsheet. Place the frame parts in the correct position. Caution: do not drag the tubes or liner to avoid damage. Leave the liner in the sun for a while to make it more flexible, and sprinkle the tubes with talcum powder.
Step 5: Put the horizontal tubes in the sleeve first, then the tees and corner pieces. Last, place the legs & side supports.
Step 6: Check that the step of the water drainage on the inside and outside of the pool are tight. The tension flaps, U-shaped side supports/vertical legs should all be tightened and straight.
Step 7: Fill the pool with 3cm of water to check that the pool is level and has no leaks. The folds on the bottom should be made as smooth as possible. This can be done by pushing the crease from the inside out where the wall & bottom meet. Do this only with bare feet!
Step 8: Continue filling the pool, correcting the tubes where necessary so that the tension flaps are flat and taut everywhere. Hang the pipe
