This medium height pea variety Vada only reaches 70 cm in height and can therefore be grown as a climbing aid without trellis or osier. If you have mesh or osier wood available, use it is recommended, the yield is then significantly higher. Suitable for all soil types, provided it is not too dry. The production of the long, pointed dark green pods is high and the taste of the peas is excellent. 8-10 seeds per pod, which are easy to shell. vada' is a medium early harvest pea. Sow: from February - when not freezing - until April directly in the garden. Sow in rows or rows 45 cm apart and place the peas in the row 5 cm apart. Make sure that the soil remains sufficiently moist during growth. Do not use fresh farmyard manure. Harvest: from mid-June until the end of July. Pick the pods when the peas are still juicy. If you pick too late, the peas will taste mealy. It is therefore advisable to continue picking regularly. Tip: plant peas in the same location only once every 6 years to minimize the risk of fungal diseases. Suitable for freezing.
