Additional information

The Nantes 2 is a sweet summer carrot that can remain in the ground for quite a long time and produces a high yield. The summer carrots are fairly large, long, and slender with a beautiful color. They are very uniform in shape and deliciously sweet. Nantes tolerates slightly drier soil better than other varieties. The plants produce a fair amount of foliage.

Sow in rows spaced 20 cm apart. After emergence, it is recommended to thin out the plants (remove the excess ones) until the remaining plants are 5 cm apart. Cover the newly emerged plants with insect netting to protect them from damage by carrot fly larvae. Keep the soil well-moistened during the growing season.

Harvest from July through October. Suitable for freezing.
