Dahlia Pompon Rocco produces spherical flowers consisting of tightly coiled red-purple petals. These flowers give a graceful effect in the garden and are well suited as cut flowers.

To promote prolonged, lush blooms, it is advisable to regularly remove spent flowers. Dahlias often begin blooming from mid-June and continue until the first frost in October. During the growing season, dahlias develop rhizomes in the soil, which should be removed before the first frost and stored in a dry, frost-free and dark place. If necessary, store the tubers in cardboard boxes with some sand. The following year the tubers can be planted outside again from mid-May, when there is no chance of frost, preferably in a very sunny, sheltered spot with well-drained soil. These perennial plants are not hardy and reach a height of about 90 cm.
