A robust old variety, the large-flowered cactus dahlia 'Kennemerland' flaunts beautiful yellow flowers 15-18 cm in diameter. This grateful summer bloomer will provide months of joy in your garden. Occasional support of the flower stems may be necessary.

To promote long-lasting, lush blooms, it is advisable to regularly remove spent flowers. Dahlias often begin blooming from mid-June and continue until the first frost in October. During the growing season, dahlias develop rhizomes in the soil, which should be removed before the first frost and stored in a dry, frost-free and dark place. If necessary, store the tubers in cardboard boxes with some sand. The following year the tubers can be planted outside again from mid-May, when there is no chance of frost, preferably in a very sunny, sheltered spot with well-drained soil. These perennial plants are not hardy and reach a height of about 100 cm.
