Tip from Marcel: We recommend placing the coops so that they do not come into direct contact with a damp surface; it is also advisable to treat the coops with a water-repellent paint or stain a few days before useImportant information about our chicken coops: They are made of untreated pine wood, which is susceptible to moisture and mold. Our advice? Apply an extra coat of water-repellent paint or stain to the wood, but only on the outside. Move the coop to a dry spot with tiles or under a small roof, and avoid direct contact with a damp surface. Thorough cleaning and allowing it to dry completely on a regular basis is key (every 2 to 3 weeks). Extra tip: ensure adequate ventilation and avoid using excessive amounts of straw or wood shavings, which can hinder air circulation.
