Spice up your meal with our spicy veggie burger
What do you need?
- 4 hamburger buns
- 200 g canned beans
- 4 tablespoons of rolled oats
- 2 cloves of garlic
- mini pickles
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- fried onions
- half a red cabbage
- 1 avocado
- a handful of lamb's lettuce
- 4 tablespoons of mayonnaise
- 4 tablespoons of yogurt
- half a lime
- sriracha sauce or other hot sauce of your choice
- fresh herbs (parsley and chives)
- paprika powder (smoked)
Get cooking, good looking!
🍔 The hamburger
Cut the garlic into pieces and sauté briefly. Drain the beans and mash them with a fork. Mix the oats and garlic with the beans. Season with paprika, fresh chives, salt and pepper. Prepare four burgers with the bean mixture and fry them in the pan for about ten minutes. Toast the hamburger buns in the oven to crisp up.
🥑 Crispy vegetables
While the burgers and buns are cooking, cut the red cabbage, avocado and pickles into thin strips.
🌶️ Hot sauce
It's time for the spicy sauce! Mix 4 tablespoons of mayonnaise with 4 tablespoons of yogurt. Add a few drops of sriracha and the juice of half a lime. Finish with fresh parsley.
It's time to make your burger!
Put the cheddar slices on the burgers before removing them from the pan. This way, the cheese can melt well. Next, it's time to build the burger: spread the spicy sauce on the bottom of the bun and place the burger on top. Pour some more sauce on the burger with the cheese and put the avocado slices on top. Then add the pickle slices, fried onions, red cabbage and corn salad. Finish with a little sauce and place the burger cap on top.
