Garden cress is a very popular plant, of which both the sprouts and the young leaves are eaten. Garden cress contains mustard oil and tastes delicious in a mixed salad, with smoked salmon or other fish. A large amount of cress is also delicious in a potato salad with lemon juice. The young plants are rich in vitamins A, B, C and minerals.
Sprinkle the seed in a thin layer on the seed grid and rinse it gently under the tap. Fill the glass bowl with water to the bottom of the grid and place in a dark room with normal room temperature ( 20-22C ). Refresh the water every day
You can also fill an empty butter tray with wet cotton wool and sprinkle the seeds on it. Keep the cotton wool well moist and you can enjoy your own cultivated Sprouts. After 5 days you can eat the sprouts (which are then 3-5 cm long).
