Alfalfa contains, in addition to a high content of protein and caraotine, vitamins C,D,K,E and B12. The sprouts have a wonderful fresh taste and are often used as a garnish for meat or fish and as an addition to salads. Alfalfa is also delicious with a cheese or egg and tomato sandwich.
Sprinkle the seed in a thin layer on the seed grid and rinse it gently under the tap. Fill the glass bowl with water to the bottom of the grid and place in a dark room with normal room temperature ( 20-22C ). Refresh the water every day
You can also fill an empty butter tray with wet cotton wool and sprinkle the seeds on it. Keep the cotton wool well moist and you can enjoy your own cultivated Sprouts. After 5 days you can eat the sprouts (which are then 3-5 cm long).
Alfalfa should be heated briefly before consuming.
