The GARDENA Drain Valve as part of the GARDENA Sprinklersystem prevents frost damage to the underground installed system. The valve ensures automatic drainage when the system is taken out of service; the valve opens when the water pressure in the system is less than about 0.2 bar. Drain valves should be installed at the lowest point of the watering system and placed on a layer of washed coarse gravel for safe drainage. It has a thread of 3/4".
