These air pumps specially manufactured for Velda combine a great air output with excellent quality and durability. The pumps are universally applicable and are widely used for aerating ponds, but are also very suitable for aquariums. The diameter of the hose connection is 8mm. The Silenta Pro air pumps come with a 'Giant' air stone and 5 m reinforced air hose of 8mm. The high pressure allows multiple air stones to be connected.

To obtain a good biological environment, in which fish and plants thrive, many garden ponds require aeration in the water. Aeration provides oxygen and keeps the water moving, allowing optimal bacterial development and proper balance in the pond.

Summer period:

Oxygen deficiency often occurs especially in the summer period, when the water temperature rises. When fish come to the surface to "gasp for air," this already indicates an oxygen deficiency in the water. Aeration of the water then offers a solution.

Winter period:

Regular fish deaths occur during the winter period when garden ponds freeze over. Especially in small and shallow ponds there is a high risk of suffocation after freezing. Aeration primarily provides oxygen, but also prevents the pond from freezing up completely.
