 The pool water is pumped through the filtration sand, this leaves the dirt behind in the sand and the clean water is pumped back to the pool. In addition to clean & clear water, the filtration pump also circulates the pool water allowing the added maintenance products (chlorine, pH...) to do their job better. This makes your maintenance products last longer. This is also advantageous for your wallet. The sand filter pump is therefore the most important part of the pool!

This Flowclear sand filter pump has 6 functions (filter, backwash, rinse away, seal, drain & circulate) and a convenient timer. Thanks to this timer, you can set pre-programmed cycles for automatic filtration. So you can enjoy a clean pool carefree and effortless! This filter pump has a sand capacity of 55 kg. Do you use polysphere filter balls as filter media? Then you can put in 1,540 gr .

Moreover, this filter also contains a built-in Chemconnect dispenser that evenly releases chlorine. This way, the chlorine level is always maintained. The pre-filter sieve basket ensures that coarse debris, such as floating leaves and hair, are separated before filtration. This ensures a longer life of your sand filter pump & smooth cleaning.

Please note: this pump does not include filter sand!

For which pool is this filter pump suitable? 
This sand filter pump is suitable for above ground pools from 1,100 to 60,500 L.

Note: This pump is therefore not suitable for pools larger than 60,500 liters. Before purchasing, check how large the volume of your pool is so you can buy a pump with the best preparation, so the swimming season does not fall into the water 😉

What is the capacity of this sand filter pump?
This pump has a capacity (pump flow rate) of 11,355 L/h. Once you connect the pump to the pool, the pump will start cleaning the water. Because of the water flow, the pump will lose power. This is called the system flow rate and is 7,570  L/h. So the actual efficiency to filter the water is lower than the capacity of the filter pump. Keep this in mind when choosing an appropriate filter pump for the capacity of your pool and the accessories you want to connect to it. Would you like to connect a solar mat or vacuum cleaner? Then you need to make sure your filter pump is definitely powerful enough to drive these accessories! So be sure to compare the values of the pump flow rate & the system flow rate with each other.

How should you maintain the sand filter pump?
 The advantage of this Krystal Clear sand filter pump is that it requires virtually no maintenance. The sand only needs to be replaced after 3 years. That in contrast to a cartridge filter pump where it is recommended to replace the cartridge biweekly.

The 6 functions:
- Filter: normal and regular filtering of the pool water
- Backwash/backwash: for cleaning the filter media
- Backwash: to even out the sand bed after backwashing
- Shut off: shuts off all water to filter & pool
- Drain: drain after backwashing or lowering the water level
- Circulate: circulate the water to the pool, without passing the filter media

What is the difference between a cartridge filter pump & a sand filter pump? 
A cartridge filter pump primarily holds back coarse dirt, while a sand filter pump purifies much more precisely. Sand filter pumps are therefore ideal for a (medium) sized pool! As mentioned above, a sand filter pump also requires much less maintenance!
