A pool provides much needed cooling and water fun, but it is very important to also keep an eye on the values for a safe & healthy swimming experience. The set contains 25 disposable strips for determining pH, free chlorine, total chlorine, alkalinity, copper (Cu), cyanic acid, active oxygen and total water hardness.
Procedure:
- Place the strip in the water for a few seconds
- Allow the strip to dry for a few seconds (blow dry to speed up the process)
- The strip will change color. Hold the strip next to the color chart provided and find which color best matches and thus the value of your own pool water.
The ideal pool values:
- pH: 7-7.6
- chlorine: 1-2.5mg/L
