How to use the rat trap cage?

1. Lift the locking handle at the entrance of the cage and hold it vertically, as high as possible.
   
2. Open the door by pulling the locking lever toward the back of the cage.
   
3. While holding the lever, hang attractive bait such as peanut butter or chocolate on the hook inside the cage.
   
4. When the bait is hanging on the hook, slide the locking lever under the loop of the carrying handle so that the door remains open. Make sure the horizontal bar at the top of the door is placed on the OUTSIDE of the curved top so that the door will drop down and lock when a rat tries to open it.
5. Preferably place the trap along a wall, where it will be most effective. Rats instinctively stay close to the wall.
   
6. Once the rat starts eating from the bait, the door will fall shut.
   
7. Free the trapped rat at a safe distance. Give the rats several days to get used to the cage. If there is no catch after several days, you can move the cage or use different bait.
   
8. Check the catch cage regularly for the welfare of the captured rats. Use gloves to avoid contamination.
   

Note: Rats can transmit various diseases, so it is wise to use gloves when handling the catch cage.
