These sticky traps are designed to control potting soil flies, also known as sciarid flies or mourning flies. They are also effective against other flying insects such as thrips and whitefly. The plates are pesticide-free. To use them, insert the metal plug into the yellow catch plate and place it in the flower pot. Replace the plates when they are full and you are still suffering from flying insects. The metal plugs can be reused.
