This nesting box provides a warm home for blue tits, shimmer tits, crested tits, mate tits and black tits, among others.
This bird nest creates a hiding place in your garden. It provides warmth during the winter months and offers a safe nest for eggs during the spring. There are ventilation holes under the roof.
Thanks to the liftable bottom, you can easily clean the nest box ! You can easily attach the nest box to a tree, fence or wall with the keyhole cutter.
This way you choose the perfect spot for the birdhouse!
- Hang the nest high on the branches of trees so house and neighborhood cats can't reach it! Ideally near shrubs or trees with prickly leaves or thorns.
- Clean the nesting box in September/October so that no pests get to it or the birds get sick.
- Find a quiet spot, preferably not facing south. Otherwise, the nesting box will hang in full sun.
- Don't hang the birdhouse too close to the feeding area (that way it will be nice and quiet).
- Make sure the entrance is draft-free (northeast facing).
- Give the birdhouse a spot as early as fall so they can get used to it & use the nest as a roost.
