The overflow feature prevents flooding of your rain barrel after heavy rainfall. Once the rain barrel is full, excess rainwater is drained through the downspout. The reliable leaf catcher effectively filters leaves out of the water, preventing leaves from entering the barrel. The filter directs the leaves through the downspout to the sewer, preventing rotting of leaves in the water.
