For which pool is this heat pump suitable?
The EXIT heat pump is suitable for above-ground pools up to 22,000 L.

Which filter pump do I need?
This heater works perfectly in combination with a filter pump with a capacity of 2,006 L/h.
Make sure that your filter pump is powerful enough to, in addition to filtering the pool water, also get the water to the heat pump (or other accessories).

How does the heater work?
The heater heats the pool from 10 °C to 43 °C outside temperature. The heat pump sucks up the cold pool water, heats the water and sends the warm water back into the pool. You can heat the pool as much as 40 °C!

What should I pay attention to when installing the heat pump?
Do not place the heater against a wall because the air supply must be able to work properly. Moreover, the heat pump must also be able to discharge the expelled air again. A guideline is therefore to leave 80 cm free at the side where the heater is connected to the filter pump (the back) and at least 250 cm at the front, where the fan grill is located. The air blown out by the heat pump is very cold and dry. So it is not recommended to be placed close to your seating area, patio down.

The EXIT heat pump is easy to connect to the pool and filter pump, as only two hoses need to be connected. One hose is connected to the filter pump and the other to the pool. The pump turns off when the water reaches the set temperature and automatically starts running when the water falls below the set temperature again. This way the pump uses energy only when needed.

Make sure the distance between the pool and the heat pump is max. 7 meters. Prefer to place the heat pump a little closer to the pool so that the hot water does not cool down too much while flowing back to the pool. Connect the hoses from the filter pump to the inlet and outlet of the heat pump.

Since the heating element runs on mains electricity, it must be placed near an electrical outlet . Thanks to the plug and play models, the heat pump is connected in no time and you can easily set it up via the control panel.

What is the COP value of this heat pump?
COP represents how efficiently the heat pump converts energy into heat. The higher the value, the less energy the pump needs to heat the water. This heat pump has a COP of 4.5-6.5. This means that the heat pump is able to produce between 4.5 to 6.5 kWh (depending on the outside temperature) of heat for every kWh of electricity.

At a temperature of 26 °C: 5.5 kWh

🙋‍♂️Tip from poolboy Marcel: to keep the pool water warm as long as possible, it is better to cover the pool in the evening with a cover or combine it with a solar cover.

Maintenance?
Proper maintenance of your heat pump ensures better efficiency, lower energy consumption and, as a result, a lower energy bill. Your heat pump will also last longer! Clean your pump regularly so it can continue to draw air smoothly. Is the swimming season over? Then make the pump water-free & dry and store it frost-free indoors, possibly wrapped in a thermal cloth.
