In addition to grasses or hay with pasture herbs, a guinea pig needs fresh fruits and vegetables every day to get all the important nutrients.
Arugula is high in vitamin C, K and folic acid, making it a perfect fit for the guinea pig diet. Guinea pigs in particular need much more vitamin C daily than other rodents. Try to vary as much as possible and give small bits of different vegetables scattered throughout the day.
