Chinese Splendor Reed - New Hybrids
This graceful grass has reed-like stems and highly feathered plumes, ideal for creating hedges or pond plantings. Sow it from late March in a germination tray at 15-20°C or later outdoors in a seedbed. Cover the seeds lightly and do not let the soil dry out. Prick out the seedlings in small groups once they have developed enough roots. Then transplant them into a large pot (minimum diameter 70 cm) or directly to their final spot. Grasses like well-drained soil and in winter the soil should not be too wet.
